Joining Jools for the final show of the series are New York-based Vampire Weekend, whose second album Contra saw them top the US charts earlier this year; Leeds-born singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae, with tracks from her second album The Sea; MGMT, whose new album Congratulations sees the duo explore a more psychedelic side to their sound, working with the likes of Sonic Boom; and Canadian duo Crystal Castles who are in the studio to perform a song or two from their acclaimed self-titled second album. Plus the legendary Sir Tom Jones makes an appearance on the show ahead of his 70th birthday, and, from Toronto, four piece indie rock band Metric make their UK TV debut.

Tom Jones

Ahead of his 70th birthday Welsh singing legend Tom Jones returns to Later to play tracks from his forthcoming covers album, which goes by the name of Praise and Blame.

MGMT

MGMT hail from Brooklyn, New Jersey and return to the Later studio for the second time, playing us tracks from their recently released second album Congratulations.

Vampire Weekend

After a very successful year with album Contra making number 1 in the US, Vampire Weekend join us in the studio, having made their TV debut here in 2008.

Crystal Castles

Following the release of their second self-titled album this month lo-fi electro-noise duo Crystal Castles make their debut in the Later studio.

Metric

Canadian indie band Metric have recently returned from various solo projects to record their fourth album Fantasies. This will be their Later debut.

Corinne Bailey Rae

After playing for us at the piano last year Corinne Bailey Rae returns with her band to play tracks from her latest album, The Sea.
